We understand that life can be hectic at times, and we may feel unable to put our best foot forward when it comes to self-care. It's happened to all of us!

That's why we've devised a few simple and inventive ways for you to enjoy a mindful retreat in the privacy of your own home.

 

1. GET IN THE RIGHT MINDSET

To relax and unwind, you'll need to create a soothing environment that will set the tone for your mindful retreat. Among the things you could do are:

  • Light a candle that smells good to you.
  • Play soothing music for meditation.
  • For added comfort, scatter cushions and blankets throughout your space.

 

2. MEDITATE

A little meditation can go a long way toward helping you relax mindfully. During your meditation session, try to clear your mind of all thoughts and focus on your breathing for a few minutes.

Listening to meditation music in the background can help you focus on your breathing and avoid distractions.

 

TIP: To avoid distraction, make sure all electronic devices are turned off and put away. This is your time to be alone.

 

3. DO SOME YOGA

 

TIP: Yoga has numerous health and mental advantages. It's also a fantastic way to get some exercise and unwind at the same time.

Hold each yoga pose for a few seconds longer for a deeper stretch. Remember to concentrate on your breathing.
